Looking for Providence caregivers to share the commute? Use Liftango

PROVIDENCE OREGON — Providence in Motion, the commuting program for Oregon caregivers, is pleased to offer a new way for you to carpool with other caregivers and clinicians.

Oregon is piloting the program for Providence, at our hospital campuses and Providence Office Park.

Also, save money and reduce your carbon footprint. Here’s how:

  • Visit the App Store or Google Play Store and download Liftango on your iOS or Android device.
  • To connect with other caregivers, use your Providence email address or work email account to register and create an account. You will receive a verification link via email to confirm your account. Note: The system will not accept a personal email address, such as Gmail or Yahoo.
  • Once your account is verified, you can set up a ride with other caregivers who have also signed up with Liftango. Just follow the prompts in the app. The more caregivers who register, the more colleagues you can carpool with.

Plan ahead for snowy, icy weather

  • Liftango is a reliable way to find rides with co-workers during adverse weather like snow.
  • Get to know the caregivers who share your commute and do your best to make a snow day successful with advance planning.
  • While our snow housing program will continue, Providence no longer has the fleet of vehicles and dispatchers that previously supported the snow ride program. That’s part of why we’ve worked to get the Liftango pilot for Oregon caregivers.
