Message from Erik G. Wexler, President and CEO.
Today, on Doctors’ Day, I want to pause and recognize the physicians across our Providence family of organizations and the essential role they play in the health of our communities.
Whether caring for patients in moments of urgent need, guiding treatment through uncertainty, or helping shape how care evolves for the future, physicians carry an extraordinary level of trust from patients, caregivers and the communities we serve.
The work of doctors is often demanding and complex. It requires not only deep clinical skills, but also steadiness, leadership and a dedication to doing what is right, even when the path is not easy.
That’s one of the reasons we are so committed to providing an environment for our physicians and caregivers that makes Providence the best place to give and receive care. Our ongoing efforts to revitalize the practice of medicine call on us to support work that fosters meaningful connections, growth and belonging.
We thank our doctors for the long hours, the difficult decisions, the moments of empathy, and the countless ways they go above and beyond for patients and colleagues in service to our Mission, values and vision of health for a better world.
I encourage you to take a moment to thank the doctors you work with and to recognize the impact they have on patients and communities alike.
With appreciation,
Erik G. Wexler
President and CEO
