The red carnation is the official flower of National Doctors’ Day. On March 30th every year we pause to recognize physicians’ service, skill, and sacrifice. The red carnation was chosen for its color and symbolism, representing love, charity, bravery and courage and is often worn, given, or placed on the graves of physicians who are no longer with us.
On this Doctors’ Day in 2026, the year of the Fire Horse, I want to say thank you for how you show up each day as a professional and as a leader of our teams. As we navigate the complexities and challenges of modern healthcare your knowledge and expertise are invaluable. Your professionalism and dedication, paired with those qualities symbolized by the red carnation are exactly what we need during these difficult times. You are the leader that we need, right here, right now and I am honored to work with you each day.
Thank you for choosing this team, for the exceptional care you provide for our patients, and for giving so much of yourself. Happy Doctors’ Day.
