Effective August 26, 2024
At Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, we understand the important role visitors play in supporting the well-being and recovery of our patients. We are honored that you have entrusted us to care for your loved ones.
Visitors are welcome to visit their loved ones at the hospital any time of the day, seven days a week.
Our visitation philosophy recognizes the importance of family and visitor support in the healing process.
Guidelines throughout your visit:
- Nighttime quiet hours are from 10 p.m. – 8 a.m. While there are no set hours for visitation, we encourage you to visit your loved ones outside of these hours to maintain a restful environment for our patients. Visitors that remain on campus during quiet time are encouraged to stay in the patient’s room.
- Minors (less than 18 years old) are welcome with adult supervision other than the patient.
- Neither patients nor caregivers can be responsible for supervising minors.
- Patients have the right to choose a primary support person for physical, psychological, or emotional support during hospitalization. This person may stay with the patient at all times unless it infringes on others' rights, safety, or is medically contraindicated. This applies to inpatient, outpatient and observation stays.
- Visitors who are ill or who are experiencing cold, flu or COVID-like symptoms, should refrain from visiting patients.
- Visitors must follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, when appropriate.
- Please note that some units (ED, ICU, Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, NICU and Perioperative/Procedural Areas) have specific visitation guidelines for their departments. Please check in with the unit’s charge nurse.
- When visiting patients in their rooms, please do not congregate outside the room or linger in the hallways. We want to be able to move quickly when we need to.
Thank you for supporting a healing environment for our patients.
Please note that this visitation policy is subject to change and may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the hospital.
