Dear Providence Oregon caregivers,
Phil and Penny Knight are redefining the boundaries of health care. They have now given two transformational gifts of $75 million since 2019, and in the last 10 years, they have given nearly $200 million to Providence Heart Institute.
Their commitment to philanthropic endeavors over these years has been instrumental to Providence Heart Institute’s rise in prominence, including the certification of our heart transplant program and the construction of our new inpatient heart hub at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.
The Knights’ second gift is a validation of your talents and hard work. As we look to the future, their investment in the heart institute will allow us to be bold in designing care to best respond to patients with diverse health needs.
This new philanthropic investment will expand resources, tools, people, programs and facilities, ensuring patients across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest can live longer and healthier lives.
We are deeply grateful to the Knights, and we hope you will take a moment to learn more about their generosity, which will further transform the lives of thousands of people each year.
