How the quality director found her people.
Moving 2,000 miles from Missouri to Washington state 22 years ago was a big change for Lisa George, NPS quality director, but she quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and everything it has to offer.
Moving 2,000 miles from Missouri to Washington state 22 years ago was a big change for Lisa George, NPS quality director, but she quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and everything it has to offer. She was drawn to Washington because of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE) and its reputation as a global leader in excellent care—and it has certainly lived up to that promise. Today, as part of the quality and regulatory affairs team, she is dedicated to maintaining high standards in patient care.
Lisa deeply connects with Providence’s Mission and the people who bring it to life; especially the commitment to caring for everyone and fostering a strong sense of community.
“I know we're all working toward the same Mission of caring for the community and making sure everyone is taken care of,” said Lisa. “That means a lot to me because we're all in this together."
That same sense of community extends beyond work for her. She’s actively involved in her neighborhood and enjoys exploring it.
At home, Lisa enjoys life on her half-acre property gardening and spending time with her two children, who are in their 30s, when she can see them. One of their favorite activities together is hiking—though, according to her kids, they’re just "nature walks."
For Lisa, community isn’t just something she values—it’s something she actively builds, both at PRMCE and in her everyday life.
