Earlier Answers, Closer to Home: Covenant Health Introduces Advanced Alzheimer’s Imaging

June 22, 2026 Covenant Health Team

Covenant Health is expanding access to advanced brain imaging with the introduction of enhanced PET/CT technology designed to help detect signs of Alzheimer’s disease earlier and more accurately.

The amyloid PET/CT scan enables neurologists to identify amyloid plaque buildup in the brain—one of the hallmark indicators of Alzheimer’s disease—and helps confirm or rule out a diagnosis in patients experiencing cognitive decline or memory-related symptoms.

This minimally invasive imaging technology provides greater diagnostic clarity for patients and families navigating uncertainty, supporting earlier intervention, informed treatment decisions and proactive care planning.

Covenant Health is proud to be the first in the region to offer the Neuraceq™ PET scan, bringing leading-edge Alzheimer’s diagnostics closer to home for patients across West Texas and eastern New Mexico.
