Why reviewing your privileges in Eprivs matters

Help ensure your privileges are current and accurate.

SOUTH PUGET SOUND – Eprivs is an important tool used to verify the privileges of physicians and allied health professionals and to confirm that approved privileges are accurately reflected in the system. It is also the tool used by HUCs and OR schedulers to verify that a clinician has the appropriate privileges to perform procedures.

Reviewing your privileges helps ensure that the information on file matches your current scope of practice and supports safe, efficient clinical operations. Regular review can also help identify any missing, outdated, or incorrect privileges before they create delays or confusion. Clinicians who perform procedures outside their approved scope of privileges are required to be reported to Compliance for additional review.

As best practice, the Medical Staff Office recommends that clinicians review their privileges in Eprivs at the time of initial appointment and again with every subsequent reappointment to confirm everything is correct and up to date. To view your privileges in real time, click on this link E>Priv.

If you have any questions or notice a discrepancy in the privileges listed in Eprivs, please contact Jenn Wint, Credentialing Supervisor, via email or phone at 360-493-5583.
