SOUTH PUGET SOUND – Providence is expanding access to care with the launch of Providence Swedish Ensign Primary Care, a new clinic opening on June 15, 2026 in Olympia. The project responds to a growing shortage of primary care providers in our community and rising demand driven by population growth and ageing. By repurposing existing space, this clinic will increase access to timely, high-quality care while supporting Providence's Mission.
The clinic will feature 9 exam rooms, 1 triage room, 4 provider offices and 5 medical assistant workstations. Once it is fully operational, it aims to serve 5,400-6,000 patients and offer 432 weekly appointments, helping to reduce wait times and improve patient satisfaction. When it opens next week, the clinic will have one provider – Rebecca Bodle-Shingu, MN, ARNP – and another ANRP is scheduled to begin in August.
The opening of Providence Swedish Ensign Primary Care marks a meaningful investment in the health and well-being of the Olympia community. By expanding access, strengthening care continuity and addressing provider shortages, this project positions Providence to better serve patients today – and into the future.
