As physicians, you know how important palliative care is.
SOUTH PUGET SOUND – The Providence Swedish Palliative Care team is dedicated to providing compassionate care to patients with serious illnesses. Doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists and chaplains work together to provide whole person care to people facing serious illness. The goal is to soften struggles, ease symptoms and help patients live as fully as possible.
Thanks to the generosity of 2014 Christmas in the Forest donors, the gift of palliative care now reaches beyond the hospital walls. In addition to supporting patients during hospital stays at Providence St. Peter and Centralia, our outpatient palliative care clinic brings expert care into the community. The team walks alongside patients facing cancer, heart disease, ALS, dementia and other serious illnesses so they can live more fully – with dignity and support on every step of their journey.
This year’s contributions will keep this critical palliative care program alive and hopefully ease the way for thousands more. As our population grows and ages, the need for this care is greater than ever.
To support our 2025 Christmas in the Forest Fund-a-Need and help ease the way for local patients and families when they need it most, donate here.
