February 5, 2026

Sara Martinez, MD, PhD

Dr. Sara Martinez is an interventional cardiologist in her 10th year at St. Peter Hospital. For the term of Medical Staff President, she is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence across our medical community. Her primary goal is to encourage and develop programs that promote interdisciplinary and interinstitutional collaboration, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care. To support this, she plans to implement periodic roundtable discussions focused on sharing new ideas, discussing emerging protocols in patient care, and exploring advancements in medical technologies. These forums will provide opportunities for open dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative problem-solving among clinicians from different specialties and institutions.

Additionally, recognizing its vital role in upholding the quality and integrity of our clinical practices, Dr. Martinez will continue to offer strong support to St. Peter’s Medical Staff Peer Review Committee. Together, these efforts will help strengthen our medical staff, encourage professional development, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes throughout our community.
