St. Peter Family Medicine Residency
The Providence St. Peter Family Medicine Program provides comprehensive, full-scope family medicine training in a community-based hospital setting. It has been recognized as a high-level patient-centered medical home and has been training residents to be excellent full-scope family physicians for almost 30 years.
Razia Gill, MD
Dr. Gill is originally from the Vancouver, British Columbia area and is excited to return to the West Coast for her residency. After completing her medical education at American University of the Caribbean and clinical rotations on the East Coast, she is eager to explore Washington State. Dr. Gill has a particular interest in lifestyle medicine and pediatrics, and she values the continuity of care that family medicine provides. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to different cities and savoring a good cup of coffee.
Dexter Guddlebrook, MD
Dr. Guddlebrook was raised in Richmond, Virginia. After an extensive period of travel through Germany and Madagascar, he settled on the West Coast. He completed his medical education at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. Subsequently, he relocated with his wife and daughter to join Providence St. Peter Family Medicine in Olympia, Washington. Here, he aims to practice comprehensive Family Medicine, with a particular focus on pediatrics, obstetrics, and street medicine.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Guddlebrook enjoys spending time with his daughter in local parks, hiking challenging trails, reading fantasy novels, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.
Anisha Johal, MD
Dr. Johal was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She pursued her undergraduate studies in biology at the University of British Columbia and subsequently attended St. George's University for her medical education. Dr. Johal is thrilled to return to the West Coast, where she can be close to her family and friends, and is eager to explore Washington. She is passionate about full-scope family medicine, with particular interests in women's and reproductive health, lifestyle medicine, and dermatology.
In her leisure time, Dr. Johal enjoys watching movies, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and dog.
Sankalp Katta, DO
Dr. Katta was raised in Sammamish and Bellevue. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and completed his medical education at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. During his clinical years, he returned to the Seattle area to train in community health centers, where he developed a profound appreciation for continuity of care and community-based medicine. Dr. Katta chose family medicine for its emphasis on long-term, trust-driven relationships with patients and its broad scope of care. His clinical interests include sports medicine, health policy, and community medicine. He is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses both individual and community health needs.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Katta enjoys running, reading, and staying active in the local community. A lifelong Seattle Seahawks fan, he also loves exploring the Pacific Northwest’s vibrant food and coffee culture and spending quality time with friends and family.
Aarshdeep Masson, MD
Dr. Masson, originally from Surrey, British Columbia, is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care throughout all stages of life. He obtained his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean, where he cultivated a strong interest in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and community health.
In his leisure time, Dr. Masson enjoys exploring new restaurants and relaxing outdoors on local hikes and nature trails.
Tess O’Rourke, MD
Dr. O’Rourke was born in Tacoma, and has been a lifelong resident of Washington state. He began his academic journey at Highline College, where he developed a passion for social justice upon witnessing the transformative impact of community services on students' lives. He then pursued further education at the University of Washington. Between his university studies and medical school, Dr. O’Rourke worked as a scribe at the Tacoma General emergency department, which ignited his interest in providing care for unhoused populations. He was particularly drawn to St. Peter Family Medicine due to its street medicine program. His other areas of interest include addiction medicine, treating patients with medical PTSD, and gender-affirming care.
Christopher Slack, MD
Dr. Slack was born in Hawaii and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. His formative years in Hawaii were spent in Waianae, a medically underserved area. As a Native Hawaiian, he was raised with the spirit of aloha, working together with neighbors in lokahi (harmony), and cultivating the ‘aina (land), principles he continues to practice to this day. In Flagstaff, he witnessed easily preventable diseases that go untreated due to the many social determinants of health preventing the Navajo and Hopi Nations from receiving equitable care.
Dr. Slack's passion has always been primary care, treating the whole patient, and working in rural-facing, underserved areas. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Northern Arizona University, he attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine with the intention of becoming a Primary Care Physician. There, Dr. Slack curated his courses and rotations to maximize his training, working with diverse populations with high comorbidities. He chose Providence St. Peter Family Medicine for training because he shares the same vision as this exceptional residency program: “To cultivate competent and caring family physicians through innovative, full-scope, interdisciplinary, and community-oriented education.”
Dr. Slack is very excited to start his career, which he hopes to span here in Olympia, and begin serving his new ‘Ohana. His hobbies include weightlifting, working on his car, and engaging in outdoor activities.
St. Peter Family Medicine Chehalis Rural Training Program
The rural training program is centered around providing high-quality care for an underserved population. The program is based at Providence Chehalis Family Medicine with first-year rotations at Providence St. Peter Hospital alongside the Providence St. Peter Family Medicine Residency Program, and second- and third-year rotations at Providence Centralia Hospital.
Hervir Dulay, MD
Dr. Dulay was born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia. He earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Simon Fraser University and became the first in his family to pursue medical school. His passion for family medicine was ignited during his clerkship, where he had the opportunity to coordinate care for some of the most underserved patients in Chicago. Dr. Dulay is dedicated to forming long-term, meaningful relationships with patients and providing care through a holistic and compassionate lens. He is thrilled to return to the Pacific Northwest for residency and looks forward to exploring all the outdoor adventures the region has to offer.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Dulay enjoys staying active through sports, hiking, and exercising. He also loves cooking and spending quality time with his wife, family, and friends.
Laura Lopez, MD
Dr. Lopez hails from León, Guanajuato, Mexico. She emigrated to the United States at the age of 18 and pursued her education at Washington State University, where she earned multiple degrees with a focus on molecular biology and medicine. Go Cougs!
Dr. Lopez is passionate about family medicine, particularly in underserved settings. She is committed to addressing life circumstances that affect personal health. Her clinical interests include addiction medicine, genetics, and chronic disease management.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lopez enjoys cooking, spending time in nature, practicing yoga, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. She believes in building relationships with patients rooted in compassion, respect, and an understanding of each person’s life story.
Ali Vyhmeister, MD
Dr. Vyhmeister was born and raised in Washington state, spending most of her life in Wenatchee. She attended Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, where she studied biochemistry and played on the golf team. Dr. Vyhmeister later pursued her medical education at Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Drawn to primary care for its emphasis on forming relationships and building lasting connections with patients, she found herself enjoying all aspects of patient care throughout medical school. Ultimately, she was attracted to family medicine due to its broad scope and the opportunity to build long-term, multigenerational relationships with patients. Dr. Vyhmeister's medical interests include women’s health, pediatric care, and lifestyle medicine.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, crocheting, cuddling her cat Patches, and spending time with friends and family.
St. Peter-Summit Pacific Rural Family Medicine Program
This program is located in Grays Harbor County and is affiliated with the established Providence St. Peter Family Medicine Residency Program. Residents work alongside community-based, experienced family medicine faculty as an integral part of an interprofessional healthcare team to provide care for the culturally diverse, rurally located, and often underserved patient population.
Zoe Daee, MD
Dr. Daee was raised in Napa, California. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. Following her graduation, she served as a substitute teacher for two years, which ignited her passion for education and teaching, particularly for children and families. This experience naturally led her to pursue a specialty in family medicine after completing her medical degree at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Dr. Daee is dedicated to enhancing patient lives through medical literacy and has a particular interest in palliative and hospice care.
In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her fiancé and their puppy, Willow, through activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking.
Fadila Nurullah, DO
Dr. Nurullah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Washington, Bothell. She then pursued her medical education at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima. Dr. Nurullah is dedicated to delivering culturally sensitive and evidence-based care to her patients.
In her leisure time, she enjoys gardening and engaging in DIY projects.
Karlynn Studley, MD
Dr. Studley was raised in Amish country, New York, where she gained experience in raising beef steer and pigs. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvalia. Following her graduation, she completed a year of service with AmeriCorps in Washington, where she developed a deep appreciation for the state. Dr. Studley then attended medical school in Buffalo, New York, before returning to Washington to complete her medical training. She is passionate about rural health and preventive medicine, and she also enjoys utilizing her hands-on skills in the emergency room.
In her leisure time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and gardening.
This residency prepares pharmacists to pursue an ambulatory care role where initiation and expansion of services are needed, and pharmacy leadership and education are desired.
Brendan Pham, PharmD
Dr. Pham was born in Sibley, Iowa. She attended the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed her PGY1 residency at Fred Meyer/Washington State University. Her clinical areas of interest include diabetes and heart failure.
In her free time, Dr. Pham enjoys snowboarding, reading, and climbing. She is enthusiastic about exploring Washington, with aspirations to spend more time on the coast, learn how to surf, and visit all the ski resorts within driving distance. She also looks forward to exploring the national parks.
Celena Wilson, PharmD
Dr. Wilson was born in Tacoma. She attended the Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed her PGY1 residency at Providence St. Peter Hospital. Dr. Wilson's clinical areas of interest include family medicine, diabetes management, and health literacy.
In her free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys baking (she has her own cupcake business named RxButtercream), quilting/sewing, rock climbing with her husband, hiking, and painting pottery. As a native of western Washington, Dr. Wilson's favorite places are the mountains (she actually got married on Mt. Rainier!) and she loves fruit picking and visiting flower farms in the spring and summer.
This program gives residents the opportunity to develop the pharmacy skills and experience necessary to succeed in a clinical practice setting.
Hannah Lapos, PharmD
Dr. Lapos grew up in Bangkok, Thailand, but moved to the United States in 2018 with her family that now resides in Houston, Texas. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at William Carey University with the Viatris Excellence in Pharmacy Award. Career interests include palliative care, antimicrobial stewardship, medication therapy management in transitions of care, and drug literature. She is in the ambulatory care tract and leads the formulary management workgroup.
In her free time, Dr. Lapos enjoys fermentation projects, such as making kimchi and kombucha, and hiking, camping, hammocking, and cooking.
Anh Tran, PharmD
Prior to living in Washington, Dr. Tran grew up in Vietnam, where her family still lives. She completed pharmacy school at the University of Washington, which sparked her interest in oncology, emergency medicine, and cardiology. Dr. Tran is currently in the acute care tract and the role of Acute Care Education Coordinator.
After work, you can find her relaxing with her black labrador, Charlie IV, cross-stitching, watching Seinfeld, baking, cooking, or practicing archery.
This program gives residents the opportunity to develop the pharmacy skills and experience necessary to succeed in a clinical practice setting.
Jiyoung Park, PharmD
Dr. Park calls Anchorage, Alaska home, but completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at Idaho State University. While in pharmacy school, she honed her roller skating skills, including skating backwards! Her career interests include infectious diseases and critical care, with a focus on building relationships with other health professionals.. Within the acute care tract, Dr. Park has additional leadership in the medication safety role.
Other hobbies she enjoys are trail walks, hiking, and finding good restaurants.
AJ Pascua, PharmD
Home for Dr. Pascua is Oahu, Hawaii, but he attended pharmacy school at Washington State University. Primary interests include chronic disease management (ex: diabetes, hypertension, anticoagulation), infectious disease, and internal medicine. The goal is to work in a collaborative, patient-centered setting, contributing to direct patient care, health education, and precepting future pharmacy learners. To this end, Dr. Pascua is in the ambulatory care tract with a leadership role as Acute Care Education Coordinator.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, playing video games, and watching TV/movies.
Sara Joyner, PharmD
Dr. Joyner is from Washington and attended the University of Washington for her Doctor of Pharmacy. Her interests lie in ambulatory care, particularly with geriatric pharmacotherapy, of which she has a Plein Certificate in Geriatric Pharmacy. She is in the ambulatory care tract and is the Ambulatory Care Education Coordinator.
To relax, she spends time with her dogs, Nemo and Max, crafting, playing board/card games, attending live events, and hiking/camping.
This program will train residents to assume senior management, supervisory and leadership responsibilities within health-system pharmacies.
Cortney Cathey, PharmD
Dr. Cathey was raised in Michigan, where she attended pharmacy school at the University of Michigan. Her career interests are in formulary management and medication safety, quality, and policy, with a passion for medication use evaluations and engagement in the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. As part of her program, she completed year one program at Providence St. Peter Hospital and is currently obtaining a Master of Heathcare Administration.
In her free time, Dr. Cathey relaxes by creating art, reading, and cuddling with her cat, Horchata.
