iQueue for Operating Rooms digitizes the workflow, streamlines the scheduling process and improves accuracy.
iQueue for Operating Rooms, a web-based tool by LeanTaas, is being implemented Oct. 17 at St. Peter and Centralia hospitals. This new tool will provide surgeons and their practices real-time visibility of blocked OR time and any available OR time to schedule surgical cases. The iQueue platform will have all formally allocated surgical block time pre-programmed and available in calendar view.
Our surgical service support team is in the process of training practice support staff on the new tool. Staff are being trained to use iQueue for releasing block OR time if the surgeon will be unavailable on a planned date. Staff will also be able to request additional time for cases outside of the prescheduled block time.
During the remainder of 2023, we will be validating the application and its communications with Epic for reporting metrics. Once the validation is completed, surgeons and practice managers will be given access to reports within iQueue for viewing their surgery metrics including block utilization.
