Dr. Suszko said he prefers to give to the area of greatest need, but currently there is a project within the Oncology program to expand the main facility in Lacey with new diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including a PET/CT scanner, CT simulation machine, and linear accelerator. The project has more than one phase and will subsequently include our satellite clinics in Centralia and Aberdeen.
"Giving allows us physicians to obtain the best possible outcomes for our patients. And in order to do so, we often need to consider more than just the oncology treatment plan," he said. "Our donations help fund programs that take into account the whole person approach to cancer treatment, including diet and nutrition, exercise/physical therapy, wellness practices such as mediation and yoga, spirituality and religion."
