AMiON launches April 21 in South Puget Sound

April 1, 2026

Review FAQs and resources.

SOUTH PUGET SOUND – Our new on-call scheduling tool, AMiON, is officially launching April 21 in South Puget Sound. Schedules are currently being built and training is underway.

What's changing: AMiON’s integration into Epic is taking place at all Puget Sound ministries. It will provide access to on-call schedules via Epic through the On-Call Finder, as well as through a mobile or web-based scheduling tool.

What's not changing: The way caregivers contact on-call providers. Paging to Spok and AMS pagers is enabled from AMiON. Caregivers can contact on-call clinicians the way they currently do by clicking their contact number to send a page; this will require a one-time account creation in AMiON. Other hospital paging functionality will not be affected with this change.

Who is impacted:

  • Privileged medical staff members (employed or contracted) who provide 24/7 specialty service on-call hospital coverage at Centralia or St. Peter hospitals.
  • Caregivers who need to locate hospital on-call resources/services and on-call providers.

Action to Take: Review the resources and FAQs below to prepare for the change.

How it will change:

  • Hospital on-call schedules will be managed in AMiON and accessible at www.amion.com. You MUST create an account with AMiON before you can view schedules.
  • Please note: To use paging functionality in AMiON, an account must be created prior to go-live. Paging through the application is not available unless a user has an active account and is logged in."
  • When using the lookup feature in On-Call Finder, please use the contact information found in the “Notes section” of the contact card for the provider. Do not call the number listed in the Phone Number field.
  • AMiON schedules are integrated into Epic and visualized using the On-Call Finder activity, which syncs with Epic every hour.
    • Detailed information can be reviewed on the Epic Learning Resource On-Call Finder document.
    • If the Epic on-call finder is unclear, use Amion to confirm the correct provider and contact number.

FAQs

How do I access AMiON?
AMiON will be accessible in South Puget Sound soon via the On-Call Finder in Epic, or via the web or mobile app. See resources above for details.

If you are a caregiver, you can access a view-only version of the on-call schedules in the coming weeks. These links will also be available on the intranet home pages.

Who do I contact if I need AMiON access and don't have it?

  • If you are a medical staff member (employed or contracted) and need access to enter schedules, please reach out to Kim Packer with the Medical Staff team.

Should I message a clinician directly within AMiON?
If there is an active link for a pager, you can directly page the caregiver from AMiON. Caregivers should continue to contact on-call providers the way they currently do.
