Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center (PKIMC) is currently negotiating with the Alaska Medical Employees Association (AMEA) on terms of a new three-year contract covering represented caregivers. We are committed to working with the union’s bargaining team to reach agreement on terms that help accomplish our shared goals -- competitive wages and benefits for our caregivers and ensuring we are positioned to continue providing patients with high-quality, affordable care.
Throughout this process, our intention is to support a constructive dialogue and keep caregivers informed about our progress in negotiations. Many issues discussed during negotiations can be complex and challenging. Our goal is to create an environment where caregivers understand what is being negotiated. PKIMC seeks to reach an agreement with AMEA that serves the best interests of our caregivers, patients, organization, and the broader community.
