A Tribute to St. Jude Medical Center Organ Donors

Each day there are approximately 107,000 people on the national transplant waiting list, hoping that today might be the day that they receive the gift of life.  Every nine minutes another person is added to the waiting list.

This recognition page is dedicated to all the heroes who turned loss into hope and transformed lives through organ donation.

On behalf of every person whose live has been saved through organ donation, and their grateful family members, Providence thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you from our CEO - A gift beyond measure

Through organ and tissue donation, one person can save up to eight lives and help more than 75 others, by restoring sight, making treatment possible for burn patients, and giving individuals who are ill or seriously injured a chance at recovery.

The individuals and families listed on this page made that decision and forever changed the lives of others. We gratefully celebrate and honor the individuals listed here, who selflessly restored life to those they had never met.

On behalf of those who were saved because of a decision to donate as well as the families, our physicians and caregivers pay tribute to these lives.

Prayer for Organ Donation

God of healing, bless the families who have lost their loved ones. In their sorrow, they have given meaning to  Jesus’ words “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10)   by donating their loved one’s organs so that others may have new life.  Bless their strength, their generosity and love.  May their grief turn into joy knowing that their tears were not in vain but gave hope to those who could have given up in despair. To those who witness this profound experience, may it move them to reach out to others still waiting for this gift of life.  Amen.
