Women’s Boutique to close Aug. 29

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — On Aug. 29, the Women’s Boutique at Providence Alaska Children’s Hospital will close. To ease the way, select items will be sold at other retail spaces on the Providence Alaska Medical Center campus.

The Women’s Boutique is a special place to many and has served as a resource for quality items for expectant mothers, babies and families. Moving inventory to other outlets allows Providence to offer several of the same products without the oversight required by an additional retail space.

▪️The Gift Shop at Providence Alaska Medical Center will begin carrying some of the specialty items currently sold at the boutique.
▪️Credena Health Pharmacy — located down the hall from the boutique — will begin to stock breast pumps, pump accessories and other personal care items. As a benefit to customers, Credena will help process insurance for these items.
▪️Though bra fittings and nursing bras sales will be discontinued, similar services are available elsewhere in the community and online, along with other, more common products.

These changes mean more focused attention can be given to the children’s hospital’s core operations – state-of-the-art medical treatment for Alaska’s newborns, children and families.

Thank you to all the community members for your support over the years.
