New on-call scheduling tool coming in Feb./Mar. 2026
SOUTH PUGET SOUND – As part of a Providence-wide initiative, a new clinician scheduling tool, AMiON, is coming to Providence St. Peter and Centralia hospitals in Feb./Mar. 2026. AMiON will help us schedule on a single platform and make Epic the “source of truth” for on-call coverage for clinicians, as it integrates with Epic.
AMiON is a mobile and web-based scheduling tool that allows healthcare teams to manage shifts, contact information, and real-time updates. It integrates with Epic, Outlook, Kronos, Vocera, and other systems used across the Providence family of organizations, including calendars like Google and iPhone. It supports real-time edits, multiple contact methods, and secure messaging, making it ideal for hospital-based specialty services.
How does this impact you?
All employed specialty service coverage groups and providers who deliver 24/7 hospital services will be required to transition their on-call schedules to AMiON. This change means you will enter, edit, and customize your schedules in AMiON, ensuring consistent and accessible coverage information.
Why is this change coming?
Throughout the Providence family of organizations, we use a variety of on-call scheduling tools, none of which are integrated with Epic. This results in inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and added costs — and at times, safety risks. Since Epic is our enterprise-wide EMR, integrating on-call schedules directly into Epic will improve accessibility, reduce errors, and enhance coordination across care teams.
We have already begun this integration on an enterprise level and are currently implementing it across the Puget Sound Region.
AMiON will go-live Feb./Mar. 2026 for Providence Swedish South Puget Sound
We are currently preparing for the rollout across South Puget Sound, with a go-live targeted for Feb./Mar. 2026. This is phase one of a three-phased approach for the Western Washington rollout. Non-employed clinicians and external groups will remain on their current platforms (e.g., Qgenda, EZ Call, miTeamWeb) during this phase.
Thank you in advance for your engagement and support during this implementation process.
