Happy New Year! I’m honored to introduce myself as your newly elected Medical Staff President.
I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, attended medical school in Reno, and eventually found my way to the Pacific Northwest through my service in the U.S. Army. It was during my residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, JBLM, that my family and I developed deep ties to this area. After completing my service in July 2020 at Fort Campbell, where I worked as a hospitalist and served on a combat tour overseas, my family and I decided to return and put down roots here. I then joined Providence as a hospitalist, serving both PCH and PSPH.
A strong sense of civic duty has always been a guiding principle in my life, which led me to serve in the U.S. Army, and I approach my role as Medical Staff President with that same dedication. More than ever, we need effective leadership to guide us in navigating complex challenges in health care, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional patient care while embracing new technologies and evolving care models. I look forward to bringing both my own experiences and those of my colleagues to the table, as we work together to further this mission.
Thank you for your trust and collaboration as we work together to improve processes and make them more efficient for all medical staff.
