Epic to transition from Hyperspace to Hyperdrive

January 16, 2024

Effective Jan. 28, Providence will transition to Epic Hyperdrive, a new web-based browser for accessing Epic. Hyperdrive offers greater security, and many caregivers who are testing the platform are reporting quicker performance. You will no longer access Epic from the Hyperspace desktop icon.

Complete Epic Hyperdrive training:
On Epic Learning Resources or from Epic Learning Home Dashboards, go directly to Epic Hyperdrive (Service Line) to find Hyperdrive education by service line. View quick videos about Hyperdrive.

Support & feedback:
Call the Virtual Clinical Informatics Epic Support Team at 844-922-7548 or via the help button in Epic. You can also provide general feedback on your experience using Hyperdrive through this Microsoft Form.

Key dates for Epic Hyperdrive:

  • 01/22/2024: New Hires begin training on updated Hyperdrive curriculum.
  • 01/28/2024: Go-Live across the Providence family of organizations

As with every Epic Release, Clinical and Business Informatics teams will communicate and provide education on key changes. Please look for emails and meeting invites as we approach these dates. The Virtual Clinical Informatics (Epic Support Team - 844-922-7548) and Informatics teams will also be available to help with any questions and support immediately following each release.

If you have questions, please contact Helene Crowfoot, helene.crowfoot@providence.org.
