Masks are still required after receiving COVID-19 vaccine

While the COVID-19 vaccine is critical to stopping the pandemic, it is not the only effort. Patients, visitors and health care workers are required to continue to wear masks in Providence hospitals and clinics, even after they receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Receiving the vaccine in combination with wearing a mask, frequent handwashing and social distancing is the best way to protect yourself and those around you. Further, these measures have also been shown to significantly lessen the impact of other communicable diseases such as the flu. Your safety and the safety of our patients remains our number one priority.
