Atrial Fibrillation is the most common heart arrhythmia in the United States. One of its main consequences is that it often causes strokes. Traditional treatments for a-fib are blood thinners, but the International Heart Institute of Montana now offers a new form of treatment - the Watchman device. "Watchman is a small device that looks like a parachute," explains Simone Musco, MD - Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology Services at the Missoula heart institute.
