Providence Announces New Director of the Spokane Neuroscience Institute

Spokane, WA—Providence has announced Craig Bakker as the new director of the Spokane Neuroscience Institute. Craig brings more than a decade of experience as a health care executive and will be responsible for the management and direction of the Institute moving forward.

Mr. Bakker was most recently Director of Neuroscience and Cardiovascular with the MultiCare Health System. He takes over for Al Wichtendahl who retired earlier this year.

“Craig brings great perspective and experience to help lead the Providence Spokane Neuroscience Institute,” said Ken Isaacs, M.D., Regional Medical Director of Neuroscience at Providence.

“Craig is joining us at a decisive time for the clinic as have added several physicians, expanded the Epilepsy clinic and added a Stroke and Cerebral Vascular Disorders Clinic in the last year. Our growth is exciting and Craig is the right person to oversee our future development,” said Jeff Collins, M.D., Washington and Montana Physician Chief Executive.
