Gay Gordon has been a member of the Medical Staff Office since November 2011, previously working in Admitting and Finance departments. She currently supports the Surgery Departmental Committee and is responsible for processing all initial and reappointment applications for the Surgery Division. Gay’s a wealth of knowledge and is an integral member of our team. Here are some fun facts about Gay:
- She is a professionally trained, wine “super taster” (as a result of 21 years experience in the Napa Valley wine industry)
- She is a Scotland estate owner and Lady of Glencoe (I own one square foot in the Highland Titles Nature Reserve and the right to use my title). I have plans to visit my “estate” one day soon. Scotland and Alaska are two of my favorite places in the world.
- Her children all have four legs and tails; I live with two beautiful horses, including one rescue pony, and a beloved cat.
- She has a love of all things vintage, particularly vintage dishes! I can spot a Haviland Limoges dish by sight at 100 paces.
- Her favorite dinner and “last meal” choice would be her Mom’s homemade macaroni & cheese, fried okra, black-eyed peas and greens with hot sauce, sliced tomatoes, homemade cornbread, and sweet tea (can you tell her roots are from the South, even if she never lived there?). Not exactly heart healthy, but yummmmmmy!!!
