Providence researcher in the news: a promising treatment for kidney disease

A study led by Providence doctor and researcher Katherine Tuttle, MD, FACP, of Spokane, Washington is in the news thanks to findings around a promising treatment for kidney disease. Results from the phase II trial revealed the potential of the drug BI 690517 in treating chronic kidney disease, paving the way for a larger phase III trial led by Oxford Nuffield Department of Population Health in England. 

Findings from the trial were published in the high-impact peer-reviewed medical journal, The Lancet
