Grateful patients thank providers, care teams - Jan. 2021

By Steven Freer, M.D., FACP, chief medical officer, Oregon Region; Isidor Brill Chair, Department of Medicine, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center

Here are just a few of the many notes of gratitude Providence in Oregon has received recently from patients about the care they received:

Providence Seaside ambulatory surgery
“This was the most thorough supportive hospital experience I've had since giving birth to my children in ‘88 & ‘90 - I cannot begin to thank you for the incredible staff (doctors, nurses, intake nurses, receptionists, nurse anesthetist). I felt safe, secure and cared about beyond my expectations - thank you ever so much and God bless with a grateful heart. P.S. Thank you Dr. Manfred Ritter too! PROVIDENCE ROCKS!!”

Providence Medford ambulatory surgery
“I had such a wonderful and amazing team of physicians and nurses and staff working on me. Dr. Nancy Hagloch is an amazing physician!! Dr. Shannon Fife was also in the OR and was very comforting also. My anesthesiologist Dr. Ashley Gabrielsen was fantastic also. My nurse Joy was wonderful during my recovery, and my discharge nurse was also amazing. Thankful for the wonderful care I was given!”

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
“In and out for emergency brain surgery with Dr. Pankaj Gore within two days and back in my own bed feeling good! I think he's amazing, and I'm so thankful I was assigned to his caseload.”

Providence Pediatric Urology Clinic
“Dr. Aubree Larson was awesome. She knew exactly how to take a sensitive topic and a hyper-sensitive tired single mom and reassure her that all is well. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone needing pediatric urology. They are the best!”

Providence Medical Group – Central Point Family Medicine
“Very kind doctor … knew about my losing my house in the Alameda fire and we talked about it. Hadn't seen Dr. Charisse Siapno due to other surgeries, but she knew about each of them. Listened and offered comforting words. Discussed how my older meds burned up and what did I need if anything. Very satisfactory visit. Also unable to do a virtual conference as I do not have a cell phone. Turned out this face to face (mask to mask) appointment was perfect.”

Tanasbourne Urgent Care Clinic
“Dr. Christopher Ritchie was thorough in his assessment, expert with the focus, kind and compassionate. We could not have been in better hands ANYWHERE for care. Absolutely the best in a very painful, acute situation.”
