Of everything we do across Providence St. Joseph Health, I am always inspired by the way our caregivers and community partners work together to meet local health needs. That’s why I’m excited to share our latest community benefit report, which is now available online.
I encourage you to take a moment to browse through it. You’ll find a number of stories about how we’re addressing key health issues in the communities we serve, including these powerful examples:
- Rent and utility program helps families get back on their feet
Program dedicated to providing children with health insurance Program builds stronger families by addressing social isolation
Health is about so much more than inpatient and outpatient care. It’s also about making sure basic human needs are met – such as food, housing and mental health resources. That’s why Providence St. Joseph Health is investing strategically in community programs and partnerships that address these vital needs in sustainable ways. Our goal is to not just assist a few scattered programs; we intend to go deeper into the communities we serve, impacting factors that truly contribute to healthier populations. We’re also working on strategies to serve the Medicaid population better and more affordably.

This commitment to giving back is rooted in our founders, the Sisters of Providence and Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, who inspire us to fund services for the poor and nurture vibrant, healthier communities. It’s one of the important ways we live out our Mission of service, compassion and healing. Thank you to our caregivers and partners for all you do to serve those in need. With all of us, working together, we are contributing to a healthier, better world.
