Providence St. Vincent Medical Center

We are pleased to announce that Marge Willis, D.N.P., RN, begins this week as our new senior director of operations for capacity and throughput.

In that role, she oversees Providence Oregon’s patient logistics center, which encompasses the regional transfer center, centralized bed placement and transportation dispatch, and remote video monitoring. The patient logistics center plays a key role in supporting capacity and throughput work across Providence Oregon. Marge will partner with David Corman, M.D., medical director for the patient logistics center.

Marge comes to us with a rich clinical background, initially rooted in critical care, and progressive leadership experience. She brings demonstrated expertise in leading quality process and improvement work as well as capacity and throughput work. Most recently, she was at Salem Health, where she served as system director of inpatient operations with accountability for all of the adult inpatient units.

An assistant professor at OHSU, Marge holds a doctorate in nursing practice, health systems and organization. She’s also board certified as a nurse executive and a critical care nurse.

Marge tells me that the teams she met during the interview process made a very positive impression on her. She is excited to join the patient logistics center team and the greater Providence family, and she’s grateful for this wonderful opportunity to support the Providence Mission. I share in her excitement, both about what she brings to our team and what we can all accomplish together.

Please join me in welcoming Marge to Providence.
