CORE new faces: Meet Brent Sandmeyer, QI expert, pianist, cat dad

We’re excited to announce that Brent Sandmeyer has joined the Center for Outcomes Research & Education (CORE) team as a Program Manager. Brent recently relocated to Portland from Washington, D.C. He brings more than 20 years of experience in governmental, nonprofit, small business, and political work to the CORE team. 
 
As a CORE program manager, Brent will oversee projects spanning quality measurement and improvement, program and policy evaluation, community engagement, and more. Brent is committed to improving the health and well-being of all communities through understanding their strengths and needs and working to increase access to the resources they need to achieve success.  
 
Before joining CORE, Brent served for 14 years as a senior program officer at the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), where he developed and managed over $100 million in health services research and quality improvement projects. 
 
Brent holds an MPH from Portland State University and a BA in psychology from New York University. After work, he enjoys volunteering, playing the piano, and pretending that his cats care if he’s home or not.
