CORE in the news: A data-driven approach to addressing behavioral health and homelessness in Portland

A project by Providence CORE is providing powerful data to help Health Share of Oregon, the state’s largest Medicaid Coordinated Care Organization (CCO), and its community partners zero in on solutions to the Portland metropolitan area’s challenges with homelessness, mental health, and substance use.

A recent KOIN TV interview with our partners from Health Share of Oregon, Central City Concern, and CareOregon highlights several key findings and why they matter.

While this work is ongoing, data from the project illustrates the vital need to target services toward specific groups with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
