This national recognition reflects Providence Swedish’s commitment to following current, research-based guidelines in treating heart disease and stroke. This dedication leads to more lives saved, shorter recovery times, and fewer hospital readmissions.

In the U.S., someone has a stroke or heart attack every 40 seconds, making heart disease and stroke the first and fifth leading causes of death, respectively. Research shows that patients recover better when healthcare professionals consistently follow established treatment guidelines.

Get With The Guidelines®  is an in-hospital program developed by the AHA to improve stroke care through adherence to the latest scientific treatment guidelines. This program's success is supported by data and published studies demonstrating improved patient outcomes.
