After successfully managing Providence Gamelin House in Seattle since 2006, Ba Cam Ma has been promoted to Housing Director, South Seattle. In this newly-created role, Ma will retain management and operational responsibility for Providence Gamelin House and will also assume the same for Providence Peter Claver House.
The South Seattle designation is a new one for the Providence Supportive Housing Ministry. Combining management teams for Providence Gamelin House and Providence Peter Claver House capitalizes on the strengths and talents of a coordinated team and provides opportunities for professional growth and development for members of that team. This is a small reorganization based on the concept of an operational cluster. It is both cost effective and responsive to a growing supportive housing ministry.
“It is important that we continue to look ahead and position ourselves to grow while simultaneously ensuring that our residents enjoy and benefit from the relationship with a stable management team. This management model achieves that,” explained Tim Zaricznyj, Director of Providence Supportive Housing. Housing Director Ma added, “It makes sense because this concept of reorganizing the team simply reflects great stewardship.”
Providence Gamelin House and Providence Peter Claver House are two of 14 Providence Supportive Housing programs located in Washington, Oregon and California. Each house offers independent living in an apartment setting along with services coordination for the residents. The seniors on fixed incomes and disabled adults who call these ministries home enjoy a sense of well-being, independence and more fulfilling lives as a result of living in a safe and affordable apartment and welcoming community.
