October is national anti-bullying month. According to the Stomp Out Bullying movement, one in six students have either been bullied themselves, or witnessed bullying taking place. It can be a confusing and scary situation but there are things you can do as a bystander. Don’t participate, laugh, watch or encourage bullying behavior. Help the victim get away from the situation and give them your support. It is a brave move to stand up, and let people know that bullying is not acceptable. But together we can make a difference.
See what UFC fighter, Cisco Rivera had to say about bullying when we sat down with him earlier this month. He talks about his experiences with bullying as a child and as a professional athlete. He also talks about finding your strength and staying focused in the face of bullying.
