Providence Pediatrics Manito in Spokane is providing notice of a data privacy incident involving some patient information. On June 24, 2024, letters were mailed to the patients of Dr. Shane Carson notifying them of his departure from the clinic. A technical error during printing and mailing resulted in some patients receiving an envelope containing their address but the name of another patient. Neither the envelope nor the enclosed letter contained any other personal information. We have no reason to believe this error resulted in any information being misused but are notifying patients and their guardians to be transparent and out of an abundance of caution. Those with additional questions or concerns may contact the Providence Integrity Hotline at 1-888-294-8455.
