Hear Me Now: "I have been able to move forward."

Featuring Gabriela and Lidia in Orange, Calif.

Gabriela Cruz reflects on her experience getting help for depression with therapist Lidia Roman, and they talk about barriers created by the stigma against mental health services in Latino culture. After the deaths of two beloved family members Gabriela became depressed, but she found hope and help at La Amistad Health Center. She was referred to Lidia, who serves at the clinic as a registered associate marriage and family therapist. Together, they have worked on her recovery.

La Amistad Health Center in Orange, Calif., offers comprehensive care to those with low incomes, and those with little or no health insurance.
