The Oregon Health Authority has provided a new graphic on vaccine eligibility for phases 1a and 1b.
As a reminder, Oregon is continuing to prioritize phase 1a, which includes health care personnel, residents in long-term care or treatment programs and certain other high-risk individuals. Governor Kate Brown has announced that Oregon will add teachers on Jan. 25, and people 80 or older on Feb. 8 – both part of phase 1b.
You may notice that around the state, Oregon’s counties are moving at slightly different paces. While several counties have begun to move to 1b, most counties are still prioritizing phase 1a.
To help vaccinate people in phase 1a, Providence is working on a centralized mass vaccination site in Portland, in collaboration with Kaiser, Legacy and OHSU. We are also working with state and local public health agencies to administer COVID vaccines to our patients and community as soon as they’re available.
