The Center for Outcomes Research & Education (CORE) annual Data Summit returned for its third year this June. The event brought together 34 partners in Portland for an exciting day of learning, networking, and collaboration.
The summit is part of CORE's Data for Change program, which pairs CORE’s data experts with community-based organizations from around Oregon receiving grant funding from Providence Community Health Investment. CORE works alongside these partners to boost their data capacity and provide technical assistance, training, networking and other opportunities. The annual Data Summit is Data for Change’s signature in-person event.
Data Summit presentations: Using data to tell stories, make decisions, and advocate for change
This year’s summit centered on the theme of uplifting community voices, with a keynote presentation by Dr. Aileen Alfonso Duldulao of the Filipino Bayanihan Center. Dr. Duldulao shared several impactful examples of how the center uses data to tell the stories of Portland Filipino community members. Click here to download Dr. Duldulao's slides.
Additional presentations explored ways that data can be used to advance community-based programs and advocacy with sessions focused on using data for decision making and using data for advocacy.

Celebrating another successful Data Summit!
Attendees shared overwhelmingly positive feedback about the summit, and expressed excitement about participating in other Data for Change activities such as webinars and trainings.
The CORE team would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported this event. We look forward to doing it again!
