The King County Department of Community and Human Services awarded Providence Supportive Housing $1.5 million to help pay for the construction of a new affordable senior housing program in Redmond, Washington. The project has been in development for nearly two years and will provide 75 units of affordable housing and service coordination for low-income seniors.

“Community support and funding is foundational to the success of the Providence Supportive Housing Ministry,” notes Tim Zaricznyj, Director of Housing for Providence. “While the project is not yet fully funded, this award from King County is indicative of the broad support that exists for this development.”

Mark Ellerbrook, King County Regional Housing and Community Development Manager, adds, “We are proud to partner with Providence to provide affordable housing for seniors in our community.”

The Providence Supportive Housing Ministry is comprised of 14 apartment buildings in Washington, Oregon and California and provides quality, affordable housing and service coordination for adults with special needs including the elderly and disabled. For more information, visit www.providencesupportivehousing.org.
