How long will my vaccination take?
Plan for up to an hour for each dose. Along with the process of receiving the vaccine, recipients will remain on site 15 to 30 minutes for observation.
When will I receive my second dose?
You will be scheduled for a second dose prior to leaving. The second dose of your vaccine will be dependent upon the manufacturer: Pfizer’s second dose may be given 21 days after the first dose, while Moderna’s second dose may be given 28 days after the first dose.
According to CDC guidelines, scheduling a week or two beyond the designated timelines will not diminish the effectiveness of the vaccine or place you at higher risk of contracting COVID-19 during this extended period.
Is there any variance between the first and second doses?
No. The second dose is identical to the first.
