Providence Saint John's celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

September 29, 2022

The start of October marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This annual observation is a time to raise awareness of the disease, highlight the importance of ongoing research and honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer.

At Providence Saint John’s Health Center, the month-long event is a time for caregivers to cheer on the survivors and remind everyone to get screened.

This year also marks a special milestone in Providence Saint John's history as the Margie Petersen Breast Center celebrates 30 years of excellence in breast care.

For the last three decades, the breast center has remained dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate whole-person care to its patients. The comprehensive breast center provides cutting-edge services, world-class treatment options and personal support to all who walk through its doors.

The Margie Petersen Breast Center at Providence Saint John's is proud to have served the community for the past 30 years and looks forward to the decades to come.

The Breast Health Clinic also offers prompt appointments for patients who have a breast concern or need an examination and imaging with a breast health specialist nurse practitioner. Most appointments can be scheduled within 24-48 hours by calling 310-582-7100 and selecting Option 2.
