Providence Saint John’s Health Center recognized as one of World’s Best Hospitals by Newsweek

For the third year in a row, Providence Saint John's Health Center has been recognized as one of the World’s Best Hospitals. Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, announced the rankings today.

The World’s Best Hospitals 2024 list is based on four data sources: 

  • Recommendations from Medical Experts: Online survey among tens of thousands of doctors, health care professionals and hospital managers in 30 countries 

  • Results from Patient Surveys: Survey of patient satisfaction following hospitalization 

  • Hospital Quality Metrics: Medical indicators e.g., data on quality of care for treatments, hygiene measures, patient safety and waiting times 

  • PROMs Implementation Survey: Optional online survey on the implementation and use of patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs) in hospitals
