The Providence Center for Weight Management's bariatric surgery program has been recognized for high-quality distinctions from Healthgrades, a nationally recognized resource for comprehensive information about physician and hospital outcomes.
Every year, Healthgrades evaluates patient mortality and complication rates at nearly 4,500 hospitals across the country to identify the top-performing hospitals for specialty care. This is the first year the Center for Weight Management’s bariatric surgery program has been recognized by Healthgrades for outstanding clinical outcomes in their 2023 Bariatric Surgery Report. The bariatric surgery program was specifically recognized for excellence in surgical skill and care, a strong multi-disciplinary care team, comprehensive pre-op patient education and timely post-op follow-up.
“This achievement directly reflects our commitment to high-quality, compassionate care and distinguishes Providence Portland Medical Center as one of the nation’s leading hospitals for bariatric surgery,” said Daniel Davila Bradley, M.D., Medical Director, Center for Weight Management. “We are extremely proud of our caregiver and provider teams, and this award affirms their dedication to providing the highest levels of bariatric care to patients who come to us for help reaching and maintaining a healthy weight.”
