ST. LOUIS, MO. [June 12, 2024] - The Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA) has named Orest Holubec, chief communication officer at Providence, as vice chairperson/chairperson-elect of the CHA Board of Trustees. Anna Newsom, chief legal officer at Providence, was also elected to the CHA board.
These announcements were made earlier this week at CHA’s annual National Assembly in San Diego, California. Both terms are effective July 1, 2024.
“Providence has enjoyed a deep relationship with CHA for many years and we are honored to have the opportunity to continue our support of the association through these appointments,” said Rod Hochman, M.D., Providence president and CEO. “I am tremendously grateful to Orest and Anna for their commitment to Catholic health care and the Mission of Providence.”
In his role at Providence, Holubec leads brand; public relations; organizational communication; media relations; community relations; crisis communication; issues and reputation management; and social media and influencer strategy for Providence and its family of organizations.
Newsom is responsible for the delivery of legal services for the system and serves as secretary to the Providence Board of Trustees.
