Hospitals are ready to care for patients during the pandemic

More than one in four individuals in a recent national survey reported they would wait four months or longer to seek previously skipped medical care due to fear of COVID-19.

In this AHA podcast, chief clinical officer, Amy Compton-Phillips, M.D., stresses that hospitals are using rigorous safety measures and innovative approaches to protect patients’ health during the pandemic, and urges patients not to delay needed care and put their health at risk.
