Expanded services, technology available at new location

SOUTH PUGET SOUND – Increased patient access and the latest technology for cardiac diagnostic imaging is now available in the Providence Professional Building. Providence Swedish Cardiac Imaging opened its doors June 27 at 525 Lilly Road NE, Suite 250. The services were previously provided within Providence Cardiology Associates.

“We are growing and advancing to meet the needs of our community,” said Kurt Miller, director of Cardiac Services at Providence St. Peter Hospital. “This will help alleviate capacity issues that patients may have seen.”

The site expand services to include eight Echo exam rooms and two stress Echo rooms, including a new GE Vivid E95 transthoracic echocardiogram machine, which will provide those performing echocardiograms better images. Patients utilizing the new space will be those suffering from heart disease or other valvular disease assessment.

The clinic will be open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached at 360-742-5941; a physician-referral is needed for services.

To increase patient access for these needed services, donors to the Providence Southwest Washington Foundation were happy to fund the nearly $1 million upgrade.

“Our donors and board continue to focus on the greatest health care needs of our community,” said Providence Southwest Chief Philanthropy Officer Peter Brennan. “We are excited to help expand and improve access to this important tool in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.”
