Renton, Wash. and San Francisco, Calif.—Providence St. Joseph Health, the nation’s third largest health system, and One Medical, the leading member-based, technology-enabled modern primary care provider, has announced a new partnership to expand services in Los Angeles and Seattle. This partnership with One Medical provides Providence St. Joseph Health the opportunity to expand its primary care access in the community while offering patients continuity of care if they need to access specialty and hospital care available through the diverse facilities that comprise Providence St. Joseph Health.

At Providence St. Joseph Health, we are constantly looking for innovative ways to serve more people through our Mission and deliver convenient care where and when people want it. This partnership will offer primary care close to the workplace, as well as access to the full spectrum of services available through the Providence St. Joseph Health network,” said Mike Butler, president of operations for Providence St. Joseph Health.

This partnership will allow One Medical and Providence St. Joseph Health to better coordinate primary and specialty services for members in Los Angeles and Seattle. The One Medical clinics will operate using the company’s membership-based primary care model, offering patients same-day appointment scheduling, unlimited secure messaging with providers, free 24/7 on-demand virtual care and a commitment to on-time appointments and more time with providers.

“Partnerships like this one are part of our organization’s strategic plan to transform for the future and advance our vision of health for a better world,” continued Butler.

One Medical cares for patients through personal memberships, as well as through employer agreements, partnering with employers in a variety of industries across the United States to deliver primary care services to employees. There are currently five One Medical offices in Los Angeles, three in Seattle and a fourth in development.

“One Medical’s collaboration with Providence St. Joseph Health, one of the nation’s premier health networks, will allow us to deliver the best quality, highest-value health care experiences to more people in Seattle and Los Angeles.
