Janet Natal is a hard worker. In fact, she says working is her hobby. But when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she realized that her pay from her job at a bakery was not going to cover her medical expenses.
As soon as she got her diagnosis, she applied for Medicaid with help from a Providence financial counselor. Medicaid covered her expenses, including eight surgeries, medications and ongoing treatment and testing.
She is grateful for her Medicaid coverage as she knows she would not have been able to receive the care she needed without it.
