Join Providence Cancer Institute and Pink Lemonade Project for a free, virtual talk on advancements in treating breast cancer with MRI-guided radiation, presented by radiation oncologist Kristina Young, M.D., Ph.D.

MRI-guided radiation therapy is a game-changer in how we treat tumors. Providence radiation oncologists can precisely target tumors while minimizing damage to surrounding normal tissue. About Dr. Kristina Young

Dr. Young is the medical director of Radiation Oncology at Providence Cancer Institute of Oregon and a radiation oncologist with The Oregon Clinic. She also serves as an assistant member at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute where she leads the Tumor Microenvironment Laboratory

According to the American Cancer Society, pancreatic cancer accounts for about 3% of all cancers in the U.S. and nearly 7% of all deaths from cancer. This type of cancer can be hard to treat because the disease has often spread in the body by the time it is diagnosed

Join us for a free, virtual educational talk on pancreatic cancer including groundbreaking research and treatments, presented by AHSC and Michele Babicky, M.D., FACS. Attendees will learn about standard treatments for pancreatic cancer, such as surgery, chemotherapy or radiation, as well as breakthroughs in research that have resulted in new, promising treatment options. 

About Dr. Michele Babicky

Dr. Babicky is the medical director of the Providence Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Cancer Program and a surgical oncologist with The Oregon Clinic. She became a surgical oncologist so she could use her knowledge of medicine and science to help patients at a critical and vulnerable time. Dr. Babicky has a strong background in basic science research, with an emphasis on signal transduction pathways and immunology in pancreatic and bile duct cancers.
