Providence Saint John’s Health Center Names New Chief Nursing Officer

e’re pleased to announce that Stephanie Baker, MBA/HCM, BSN, RN, CEN, has joined Providence Saint John's Health Center as our new chief nursing officer. Stephanie brings more than 30 years of health care and nursing leadership experience, with a career focused on improving clinical quality, patient experience, operational efficiency and strategic growth.



Most recently, she served as chief nursing officer at East Campus Medical Center at UC San Diego Health, where she oversaw nursing leadership, clinical operations, care 
management and quality performance.

Her background includes executive roles with Studer Group and Huron Consulting Group, where she worked with hundreds of health care organizations to strengthen patient experience, employee and provider engagement, leadership development and operational planning.

Stephanie holds a dual Master of Business Administration and Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University. She is a certified diversity professional through Cornell University and a certified emergency nurse through the Emergency Nurses Association.

We’re excited to welcome Stephanie to our leadership team and look forward to the expertise, compassion and innovation she brings to our nursing community and the patients we serve.
